For viewers information: There will be a J.V. Boys Basketball Tourney at P.V., January 2nd and 3rd. The tourney starts at 1:00 on the 2nd and 4:30 on the 3rd. It's an eight team tourney which features the following teams: Powell Valley, Gate City, Lee High, J.I. Burton, Pound, St. Paul, Clintwood, and Haysi. Hope to have good crowds. Come and support our younger local basketball teams.

Anyone have a final copy of the schedule? I had heard they changed some times due to schools going back in session. Last I had heard, games started at 2 on the 2nd.
Powell Valley will be hosting its inaugural J.V. Basketball Tournament Wednesday, January 2nd and Thursday, January 3rd. The Tournament will feature eight local teams to include: Powell Valley, Lee High, Gate City, J.I. Burton, St. Paul, Pound, Clintwood, and Haysi.
Games will begin on the 2nd with Pound and Haysi getting things started at 1:00, followed by J.I. Burton and Clintwood at 2:15, Gate City and St. Paul will begin at 3:30, and Powell Valley and Lee High will close out the first round at 4:45. Two consolation games will follow for the losing teams at 6:00 and 7:15.
On the evening of the 3rd two semi-final games will be played at 4:30 and 5:45 respectively, followed by a consolation game by the winners of the previous nights consolation games at 7:00. The Championship game is scheduled for 8:15. Concessions will be available for all games. Come out and help support our local Junior Varsity Teams.
